Main activity

Stemming from the CEA, Limatech is a deeptech startup developing the next generation of lithium batteries certified for aeronautical applications (civil and military). The company aims at offering a European answer that will accelerate the shift towards sustainable aviation on an international market. Limatech meets the European challenges targeting the replacement of existing toxic technologies (directive 2006/66 CE). Our batteries are 3 times lighter than existing lead and nickel-cadmium batteries. Limatech will therefore help to reduce the emissions from air traffic by more than 1 million tons of CO2, in only 5 years of commercialization.
